VhRide was founded by Matthew Taylor after a series of less-than-stellar vacations spent trying to find the best route, activities, and travel tips.
On one memorable trip, Matthew and his family drove cross-country in a rented RV – only to realize they had forgotten to pack any blankets or pillows. They spent the entire trip huddled under their coats, praying for the warmth of the next rest stop.
But despite the challenges, they had a great time and knew there had to be a better way to plan and prepare for road trips.
That’s where VhRide comes in. We’ve assembled a team of travel experts who have been there, done that, and survived to tell the tale (sort of).
Meet the team:
- Jessica writes about cars and is a self-proclaimed “automotive aficionado.” She’s always up for a weekend road trip and knows all the best pit stops along the way.
- Michael is our go-to guy for truck travel. He’s driven all over the country in his trusty pickup and has some amazing stories to share (including the time he accidentally drove through a low clearance tunnel and had to spend the night in his truck bed).
- Andrea is an SUV enthusiast and loves the versatility and comfort they offer on the road. She’s taken her family on several cross-country adventures and has some great advice for traveling with kids.
- Elizabeth is our RV expert. She’s logged thousands of miles in a variety of recreational vehicles and has seen it all (including the time she had to make an emergency pit stop in a Wal-Mart parking lot).
