Hey there, my name is Matthew, and I’m here to tell you all about my personal experience driving an RV through Custer State Park.

Let me tell you, it was one wild ride. I remember the first time I tried it, I was so excited to hit the road with my trusty RV and explore the great outdoors. But let me tell you, I didn’t know what I was in for.

I had heard that Custer State Park was a beautiful place, with stunning views and plenty of wildlife to see.

I had also heard that it was a bit of a challenge to navigate, but I figured I had driven an RV before, how hard could it be? Oh boy, was I wrong.

I hit the road early in the morning, thinking I would beat the crowds and have the park all to myself. But as soon as I got to the entrance, I realized that I had underestimated the popularity of the park.

There were RVs everywhere, and I had to wait in a long line to get in.

Once I finally made it into the park, I was greeted with beautiful views of the Black Hills. I was so excited to start exploring, but I quickly realized that the roads were not made for RVs. They were narrow and winding, and I had to be extra careful not to scrape the sides of my RV on the trees.

But despite the challenges, I had an amazing time. I saw bison and pronghorn and even a mountain goat, and the scenery was incredible. I camped at one of the designated RV sites and even made some friends with some fellow RVers.

So, can you drive an RV through Custer State Park? The short answer is yes, you can. But be prepared for some tight roads and a bit of a challenge.

It’s definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you’re up for an adventure, it’s definitely worth it.
